An aerial photo taken by USAF as a part of post-war survey. The area between the Hinkaku Freight Railway (current Shinkansen Line) and current "Lilac Kugahara Shopping Avenue" is covered.
On the northern side of the shopping avenue was the site of an antiaircraft gun nest, and the current Yukigaya High School was a powder magazine.
This aerial photo has been copied from aerial photos taken by Geographical Survey Institute (GSI), Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, Japan and US military under an approval of the Director General of GSI.
