Released on 11 September, 2005

A sketch of Kugahara on September 11, 2005

On the day of 4th anniversary of 9-11 in US, a general election of the House of Representatives was held in Japan, and the Autumn Festival of Seibu Hachiman Shrine was held in Kugahara.

People come out and go into the polling hall in front of Kugahara Elementary School.

Kids are gathering at Seibu Shinto Shrine for its autumn festival.

A miniature shrine is being carried through Lilac Kugahara Shopping Street. It is covered with a plastic sheet as a sudden thunder shower poured on it.

New shoots are spreading from the top of willow trunk, which was torn down by strong wind last December, by the "Yanagi No Koban" (Police-Station-by-the-Willow).

The bandage rolled around the trunk has well aged to fit the landscape. Compare it with the photo on the right, which was taken one month after the disaster.
