This is a book by a professor of physics who passed away in 1988. The book covers his experiences working on the Manhattan Project, teaching in Brazil, hanging out at topless bars among lots of other stuff he did out of curiosity. He even had a stint as an artist. He's not a comedian, but doubtlessly funny in his description of the goings-on covered in the book.
This book was recommended to by the instructor when I took a class on computer viruses earlier this year. Reading the book gave me a glimpse of what goes on in those labs and more importantly, inside brilliant scientists and thinkers of our time. It's a good 346-page book with most chapters being quick easy reads. The exceptionally longer ones are actually quite memorable stories themselves.
