Since then I had the rear bumper changed after I was rear-ended lightly (thank God). It didn't look bad with the Dolphin Tail but then again one is rounder while the other has sharper edges. It had to be changed sooner or later to a simple rear wing that lays behind the rear combination lamps without obstructing the rear view for me. I think it was the right decision.
In early 2000 I bought myself 17-inch wheels and tyres. I handed my original 16-inch set over to some folks who needed 'practice' tyres. It's a good practice to share wheels/tyres others can make good use of when you cannot (provided you know how they've been used). What goes around comes around, I guess.
The next thing I did was have the front bumper changed to one that had a bigger mouth and seemed (to me) more aerodynamically suited. It doesn't clash with how the rear looks and I was anticipating something on the sides to connect them, until I found out recently something closer to what I was imagining without creating a bulk on the sides and the added headaches dealing with slopes and grades.
Although all the panels were aligned nicely, at roughly 120kph the front edges of the hood, right behind the retractable lights started fluttering so I had no choice but to add pins at those locations. Unfortunately, the hood is not aligned the way I'd like it to be with surrounding panels because it needs to be pressed down even lower than before to ensure that it stay put. I guess I'll live with that. But for now, the body seems just fine.
One last thing I had done was change the air filter system to one that is boxed-in to prevent it from collecting hot engine room air. The neat thing about it is that one can hear the air getting sucked in through the box. The box is designed to get air from a connected duct sticking out under the upper part of the bumper, behind the license plate. The one problem I had was that it touched the hood and rubbed off the color at the point of contact on the underside. The design might have been modified since then.
